Stag weekends and hen weekends are becoming an increasingly prominent
part of the British cultural landscape. Many experts see this as an
extension of the boozy holiday culture spawned during the 1980s by
tour operators like Club 18-30 who encouraged young Britons to go
forth and multiply (usually under the influence of a large amount
of Sangria/Spanish
lager).
This is not to say that the idea of a stag or hen celebration is
a new one. People have been partying just before their weddings for
hundreds of years. What is certainly new is the idea that a stag night
can take place in another part of the world and span a whole weekend.
The current transport climate has only encouraged this situation -
cheap flights are absolutely central to international stag and hen
weekends.

The city of Budapest is known as the ‘Paris of the
East'. That is not to say it has a reputation for dog mess

elegant and extravagant.
The Danube River
runs through the heart of the city, offering plenty of beautiful
photo opportunities. For the ladies, Budapest is Spa heaven,
with more than almost any other city.

The temptation to head straight for Amsterdam's famed coffee

be suppressed at all costs. There is no point in knocking
yourself out before taking the opportunity to see the other,
more cultured side to Europe's most liberal cities.
